To evaluate the impact of dams on the seasonal pattern of flow, reservoir simulation was performed. Since all the dams’ parameters were not available, we just put some values to test the simulation and the results shown below might change later when all the parameters are obtained. Besides, dams are assumed to be used only for power generation as there are no irrigation inputs. Table 2 through 9 depicts the seasonal flow at the various dams under both dam and no dam scenarios. The dam scenario resulted in increased flow during months from September to April and a reduction in flow during the months from May through August at Totko Dam. The bigest percentage change in flow occured during the moenths of Januray through March. For Nurek Dam (Table 6) the flow increases for the months of October through April and reduced during May through September. In the case of Nurek too, the bigest change in flow occured during the months of January through March. The other dams also show similar pattern to the two dams cited above as an example.
